iOS 8 Coverage

Go and follow our iOS 8 blog!

We’ll be continuing last summer’s blog, this time showcasing iOS 8

IOS 8 beta 1 is coming soon guys

While this blog is not too active anymore, I feel it is worth noting the iOS 7.1 update that was made available today

If you haven’t already, you SHOULD download this immediately

While it is not jailbreakable, 7.1 remedies many problems people have faced with iOS 7 in the last few months. The biggest changes are improved stability on the iPhone 4 as well as fixing safari reloading on iPads. It’s a great update.

Download sizes range from 200 MB on iOS 7.0.4-6 to 1.4 GB on iOS 7.1 beta 5.

Q

iness15 asked:

Can you please tell me how to instal ios 7? It should be realise today but i can not instal it.

A

First, make sure you have an iOS 7 compatible device. The iPod 4th generation, the iPhone 3GS and the iPad 1 are not compatible. Second, go into Settings > General and click on Software update. If it does not show up there, open iTunes, download the latest version, and connect your iDevice and click on “Update”

When you drag up the screen from the bottom you get this menu.
At the top, you can activate/deactivate airplane mode, turn wifi on or off, turn bluetooth on or off, turn do not disturb on or off and portrait orientation on/off.
You also now have this cool music gadget where you can skip songs/go back and turn the volume up or down. (You can also press the song name to go to the “now playing” screen in the music app.)

Airdrop is a new feature for IOS 7 where you can instantly share photos with IOS devices around you. (I havent tried it yet).

As for the bottom, there is a flashlight icon that can turn on your flash to use as a flashlight (VERY useful.) you can also access the clock app, calculator app and camera app as well.

IOS 7 is introducing an entirely new music feature on the music app. iTunes radio lets you make a station based off a genre, song, or even a band. You can allow or disallow explicit tracks depending on your preferences. If you happen to enjoy the track that is on the station, iTunes radio gives you the option to purchase the track. It has ads as well as other radio like applications like pandora, and is completely free. Additionally, you also get to skip about 5 tracks on any station per hour. It also has a feature that gives the option to never play tracks like that one if you do not like it as well. If you already passed the song and would like to purchase it, iTunes radio also has a history feature which can show you the played songs for each played station with the option to purchase. What do you guys think about this feature? Do you like it or think it’s a bad idea?
